Temptation has lovely light and refreshing aromatics from Golding and Hallertau Hops. This is a classic style of beer known as Belgian Strong Golden Ale, and is beyond tempting.

Smooth and complex with intense flavours and depth, fermentation starts cool and reaches very high temperatures creating a fruity yeast aroma and lots of hops late in the boils creates spicy aromatics. The alcohol content of 8.0% makes this beer dangerous and tempting, and is well hidden with a crisp dry finish, once you’ve started there is no turning back. This beer has a high level of carbonation, a beautiful golden colour and luxuriant big white foamy head.

The winter of 2020 will be remembered for many things, not all of them as indulgent and fantastic as the bountiful harvest that Main Ridge Truffles had at their farm this year. We were lucky to be able to get a few kilos into the brewhouse and into a tank of our iconic Scotch Ale, creating a unique, earthy, luxurious version of our well known dark brew. Truffles are the perfect match for this coppery, malty ale and the annual truffled version is a highlight.

In a rare opportunity, we have put together a comparison six pack, featuring 3 of each of the versions, so you can enjoy your own special tasting and taste the truffles too.

Our tall, dark and strong German. One batch only, brewed by popular request, new in 2020 in 355ml Cans

This Dark wheat beer presents deep rich toasty chocolate and nut characters, created by our blend of Vienna, Chocolate and Wheat malts. It is highly carbonated for a soft delicate mouthfeel, and we use traditional wheat beer yeasts to develop clove and banana aromatics. The sweet characters and high alcohol of this style are balanced subtly by our own Tettnanger and Halletauer hops.
