As part of the local and international beer community’s ongoing support for bushfire relief efforts in Australia, brewers the world over have joined forces in a fundraising brew.

Resilience Beer is a project that arose in the wake of unprecedented bushfires in Australia during late 2019 and early 2020. It came from a desire in the local beer industry to find ways to support those impacted by and fighting the fires both now and in the future.

The call went out for support and more than 200 brewers globally pledged via resilience.beer to brew the Resilience Pale Ale. Proceeds will be donated to various relief efforts and are forecast to total more than $850,000.

The aim is to help impacted communities transition from crisis to healing through regeneration and rehabilitation projects. Brewers and the industry around them play a strong role in their local communities, as evidenced by the hundreds of fundraisers and other events launched throughout the local beer world since fires first broke outlast year.

The Resilience recipe for a 5% Pale Ale was developed by a working party of brewers to create a beer with broad appeal for generous, kind-hearted Aussie (and international) beer lovers right across the spectrum, inclusive of folks who aren’t traditionally craft beer drinkers yet wish to support this fantastic cause with a delicious beer or two.

The Resilience Beer is an opportunity for the Australian and global brewing community to work together in a collective effort, with brewers, suppliers, retailers, publicans, beer lovers and beer media uniting to maximise the fundraising potential.

The 200 versions of the beers brewed across Australia, New Zealand, the US, Canada, Mexico, the UK and Europe will be available from February 24, 2020.

Out now in cans and on tap this Spring…. A Crazy American Lost in Belgium. A formidable beer, a strong, understated Belgian. Then BOOM this crazy American influence has invaded the brewhouse and dangerously hopped this beer with massive takes of US style hops. Its exaggerated, dangerous, bold, arrogant and definitely CRAZY

Our famed Temptation is out now, and as always it is funky, Belgian, great yeast character and very very easy to enjoy by the goblet. But theres a reason its known as our little Devil!
Enjoy in goblets at the brewery bar, or grab a 4 pack from us or your local crafty specialist, be sure to hunt this one out

Red Hill Brewery Secret Stash Red Hill Brewery Brewhouse

Once upon a time in a bar in Brugge Belgium (you know the ones, with 350 beers) three of us were on a special pre-Christmas road trip.

Each shout was a round of 3, of course, by brewery. So the Chimay shout went like this, 8% Chimay Gold for her. 12% Chimay Blue for him, and low and behold every Belgian brewer has a 14% Christmas Beer in its own special chalice just for this time of year, so of course our brother was gifted that one.  I don’t need to tell you how that night ended up for him.

But wow! Christmas beers. We were immediately smitten.

We we first opened our own brewery in 2005 it was the first speciality beer we brewed. And one of the first seasonal brews even made by a brewery in Australia. We have recently tried one from that year and its aged like a fine cognac. Very rich and winey. Cellaring this beer gives a great idea of what a beer goes through. It is fantastic after a few years. Theres a midway point where they may taste a bit off or sour, then a few years later, 5-6, they become incredible. At 13years, probably a bit past it but still enjoyable.

We always aim to release it by 1st December. This year, enjoy our lucky 13th brew of this special festive beer. This year it comes in our new wrapping paper, a whole new look for the brewery

New Look Christmas Ale and Cans coming December 2018
